The mission of the S.O. Christmas Cheer Program is to assist the employees of the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas. This assistance includes supporting the Program by raising funds to provide toys, clothing, shoes, and personal items to supplement the collections of ECSO employees.
The goal of the S.O. Christmas Cheer Program is to collect and buy new, unwrapped toys, clothing, shoes, and personal items each year, and distribute those items as Christmas gifts to needy children in Etowah County, AL.
The objectives of S.O. Christmas Cheer are to help less fortunate children throughout Etowah County experience the joy of Christmas and to play an active role in the development of one of our community’s most valuable resources – our children.
To give a message of hope to less fortunate children that will assist them into becoming responsible, productive, and law abiding citizens.
Families who are candidates for the program will be nominated by administrative personnel at the local county elementary school that they attend. Nominees must submit the written application by October 1, 2018.
